The Perfect Half Time Snack: Buffalo Wing Dip

You don’t know everything about me. However, you are about to find out one new thing.

Ready?

I love hot wings. I hope I didn’t disappoint you. Hot wings are as exciting as it gets around here sometimes.

I used to crave all things buffalo or hot wings when I was pregnant. In fact, the recipe I am going to share with you today I sampled while pregnant. I have never been the same since. It is that good.

Let me introduce to you Buffalo Wing Dip.

Good gravy people. It is good. Really, really good.

This dip is perfect for a football weekend. Really it is good for any weekend, but it is always nice to have the perfect excuse for making something laden with fat. The best part? It is easy to make. Really easy.100_6537

Buffalo Wing Dip

Gather these ingredients:

  • 16 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 cups shredded chicken (or 2 (10 oz) cans of chicken , but it is much more cost effective to use your own left over chicken)
  • 5 oz hot sauce/buffalo wing sauce (I never use this much. Probably only half the amount.) (my favorite is Frank's hot sauce or Aldi's brand of hot sauce)
  • Shredded cheddar cheese (1/2 cup to 1 cup)

Now you are going to prepare this heaven in a dip:

Mix all ingredients EXCEPT for the cheddar cheese in a pot. Bring mixture to a boil. Spread the mixture in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with desired amount of cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.

I am telling you. You will want to swim in this buffalo goodness.

  2. I, too, love buffalo wings. At 10:00 this morning I found myself at the kitchen counter eating Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Sauce by the spoonful. Bought a pregnancy test this evening and it is positive :-)...that explains the sudden need for hot sauce.
