The official start to summer is still 20 days away. However, with the heat and humidity it feels like it is here now! One of my favorite parts of summer is grilling! Everything seems to just taste better on the grill!
When grilling fish, potatoes and veggies, I often use aluminum foil. One would not break their grocery budget buying foil. However, it is disposable. I suspect it is not a frugal secret that all things disposable typically cost more money.
One way I’ve cut down on using foil is by using this simple idea.
I bought a cheap pan at the dollar store. I simply spray the pan and throw whatever I am grilling in the pan instead of foil.
If making a “foil packet”, I place the veggies or potatoes in the pan and only cover the top with foil, then seal. The foil top is reusable. I simply rinse then dry.
This simple tip won’t make you rich, but every little penny saved helps!
Happy grilling!

I seldom grill veggies or fish but will keep this tip in mind just in case I get inspired this summer.
