Did You Know: Storing Fresh Ginger

Emily asked a great question: “where do you buy your fresh ginger?”

I personally just buy mine at the traditional grocery store.  It is not that expensive because you need to buy so little.  A little goes a long wayAt my grocery store, it is $1.59/lb

The tip in making it last is how you store it. I simply wrap mine in aluminum foil and store in the side of my freezer1173289_large_ginger_2

When I need to use it, I peel and grate what I need.  Then I return it to the foil and the freezer.

I bought mine 2 months ago and it is still going strong after using several times.  Fresh ginger is so delish!

Do you have other suggestions for buying or storing fresh ginger?
