I wrote a post earlier this week regarding my thoughts on shopping warehouse clubs like Sam's, Costco or BJ's. As I was blog surfing earlier this morning, I came across a post on one of my favorite blogs. I knew Fishmama has always been a fan of Costco, however in her post she discusses exactly why.
I especially love her "spin" on justifying a $50 annual membership. She views it as long as you save $1 on your groceries each week, it is worth the membership price. She is right! That is a great way to view it. I view buying the paper for coupons the exact same way.
I still don't plan to buy a club membership. Aldi's is still my first love and believe it saves me the most money on a normal basis. My grocery costs are still low and I'm afraid I will mess my whole system up!
I simply wanted to point you in the direction of another viewpoint. I blog to help walk with you on your journey of saving money. I don't care if you read my blog or another as long as you are able to spend less and live more!
That being said, I love that you are here and hope you stay around!

I was so happy when Aldi starting taking debit cards. Now I shop there all the time as I don't have to keep track of how much money is in my wallet.
ReplyDeleteah yes. I do break all rules of wise frugality and live cashless. However, my debit card incurs a fee when I use it at Aldi so I have to remember to stop and get cash!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! I love your blog, I am trying to learn all I can about couponing and living a frugal life. I need all the help I can get so I am your newest follower! Thanks for sharing your expertise, Marla
