Welcome

Welcome to the Frugal Flamingo.  This blog has been mentally brewing in my mind for quite awhile.  After consistent encouragement from friends and family, I decided to finally start sharing about the ways that I am living frugally.

I have always been somewhat frugal.  To be honest, I had a previous history of being cheap.   However, over the past few years, I have embarqued on a journey that has taught me to make wiser choices in regards to the way I spend money.

Specifically, I have learned how to lower our grocery bill.  Over the past year, I have felt God nudging me to share what I know.  Not that I have “arrived” in regards to inexpensive groceries or frugal living.  Instead, I have learned helpful nuggets of information along the way that could be a benefit to other families.

So what can you expect to find here?  Everything from ways to lower your grocery spending to how to dress for less.  I will even throw in some frugal decorating tips from time to time.  Of course, there will be recipes too.

 I don’t intend for this to be a “deal” blog.  There are many bloggers doing a great job already, but I will be sure to direct you to them.  That is not to say that I won’t share a deal with you from time to time.

 I really hope that you will find some source of inspiration here.  After all, that is the main goal of this blog!  There is always more to learn in regards to frugal living.  It is a journey with incredible rewards.  I am so excited to do this journey together with you!
