The Frugal Flamingo

Here’s a little about me because I know you want to know….

First and foremost, I live to serve God. I often fall short, but I constantly am striving to be obedient to Him and His calling.

I’ve been married for 12 years to my best friend. He’s an incredible guy that puts up with encourages all my ambitions.

I am a mama to 4 awesome kids. Three of my kiddos were belly born and 1 was born into our family through adoption.

I also blog as Flamingo Mama at my personal blog called 1 Crazy Journey. There I share my candid thoughts , the crazy antics of my kiddos, and the happenings of this crazy journey called life.

I am pretty much a simple normal gal. I love to read, write and spend time with family and friends. However, I also am passionate about finding a bargain and living frugally.

My hope with this blog is that at least 1 other mama will be able to find some inspiration to live life spending less. I definitely am not perfect at what I do. In fact, I really will be learning right along with you. However, I hope that my failures will be a “lesson learned” and even an encouragement.

If you stick around, you will find that I will share about saving on groceries, clothing, decorating and other simple areas in life.

While, I think it would be cool to share everything I “know”, I only intend to share what I actually “do” on a consistent basis. After all, keeping it real is the best inspiration out there.

I feel very blessed with everything God has provided me. Living frugally is just one way I can honor Him and my family.
